We know who we are

Sval is on a growth course on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and has come a long way already. From the start as an infrastructure company, the company is now positioned in both E&P and renewables.

Over the last years we have grown rapidly through major acquisitions of companies like Capricorn Norge (Cairn), Edison Norge and Spirit Energy Norway, adding competency, production and development assets to our portfolio. In addition, we continuously look to optimise our portfolio in accordance with our strategy.

We have strong backing both financially and strategically from HitecVision, one of Europe’s largest private equity funds. They are among the most successful owners of energy companies in Norway. Having them onboard means that we have the financial flexibility to pursue our goals and ambitions.

Our vision is to be nimble, sustainable and to create value.

Nimble – as in being agile and quick on our feet, keeping decision-lines short and empowering our employees.

Sustainable – as in balancing production of fossil fuels with decarbonization projects, but still delivering the optimal mix between more energy – and better energy – responding to signals from the market and our shareholders.

Creating value – as in having an opportunistic and pragmatic approach to the future of energy. We produce oil and gas, but in parallel we use our know-how and expertise to tap into new value chains. Our goal is to create a long-term robust business model.
