We are currently seeking a key contributor to our Subsurface Team. The position will report to the Subsurface Lead, and the Reservoir Engineer role is outlined as follows: 

Tasks

  • Support Sval’s portfolio of development and production assets with an evaluation of available dynamic data (Production, injection and pressure data, SCAL data and PVT data) and critical reservoir engineering analyses (Reservoir and well performance analysis, reservoir management strategies, and production optimization) 
  • Construct, update and maintain in-house and operator reservoir simulation to aid decision-making and develop resource estimates 
  • Perform analytical reservoir analysis such as material balance, decline curve analysis, pressure and rate transient analysis to QC profiles, aid decision making and develop resource estimates 
  • Develop production profiles and reserves/resources estimates for the various assets and business development opportunities (fields, discoveries and exploration prospects) 
  • Support the company in Resource Committees and reservoir engineering forums to ensure Sval’s interests in licences 
  • Support the Portfolio Value Manager in the coordination of reporting cycles, LOF and reserves processes 
  • Manage and maintain Avocet databases, OFM workspaces, and contribute to the development of digitalisation and automated dataflows / Power BI dashboards 
  • Promote, enhance and sustain a strong HSEQ culture within your own discipline 

Qualifications and experience

  • Master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in development and producing assets, preferably from NCS. Reservoir modelling and uncertainty analysis experience.
  • Knowledge user of Avocet, OFM, MBAL, Eclipse/Petrel RE and advanced user of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Familiar with decline curve analysis and production forecasting, experience with well test analysis.
