Who is it for?

We are looking for students that are currently undertaking a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree at a university. The candidate must maximum have completed final year of a Master programme. We are looking for students with all backgrounds who want to contribute to creating value and new ideas. You are passionate about your field of study and are willing to build and strengthen your skills and competency.

Data Scientist

Scope of work:

  • Develop Python scripts related to subsurface work in Petrel and other tasks
  • Requirement: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree

Geoscientist

Scope of work:

  • Generate Pattern Recognition Analysis on seismic data for APA areas of interest or on specific license areas
  • Requirement: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree

Business Intelligence Analyst

Scope of work:

  • Provide new insights to the business for selected projects by making data available in the form of new digital products using our BI solutions
  • Requirement: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree

Social Media Advisor

Scope of work:

  • Create and administer content on Sval’s media platforms
  • Build increased audience and ensure follower engagement
  • Monitor site metrics, analyse results, and recommend improvement measures
  • Respond to reader comments and oversee creative design
  • Advice on how to improve Sval’s social media platforms to increase number of followers and improve interaction
  • Requirement: Personal skills and knowledge about social media

Geoscientist

Scope of work:

  • Develop Power BI customised dashboard for specific assets focusing mainly on production data to be used in IOR project and reservoir management
  • Requirement: Master’s degree

Geoscientist – Halten East

Scope of work:

  • Perform sub-regional seismic interpretation on the Halten Terrace area (Halten East) using Petrel
  • Requirement: Master’s degree

Geoscientist – Ekofisk

Scope of work:

  • Build a well database for Ekofisk, including historical production, tracers, pressure data, PLTs, water breakthroughs, 4D seismic response and history matching information using Spotfire
  • Requirement: Master’s degree

Geoscientist – Martin Linge

Scope of work:

  • Do a full assessment of Martin Linge West
  • Build a structural model of the gas/condensate accumulation using Petrel
  • Requirement: Master’s degree

Drilling & Wells intern

Scope of work:

  • Compile data and establish a database for all own and non-operated wells drilled in Norway using End of Well reports, Rushmore, NPD fact pages and other sources in collaboration with Subsurface team
  • Requirement: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree

Energy technology engineer

Scope of work:

  • Assessment of potential measures to reduce CO2 emissions at partner operated assets
  • Compile data and establish overview of measures with respect to effectiveness, cost, technical maturity etc
  • Requirement: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Explorationist

Scope of work:

  • Generate regional scale structural maps using Petrel in the Norwegian or the North Sea region to contribute to the development of Sval’s regional map database
  • Requirement: Bachelor’s degree
